Vancouver South Animal Hospital is looking for a part-time RVT to join our growing team. Located in the Community of South Vancouver for many years, we are well-established as a high-quality and fear-free practice. Our team is made up of 2 hard-working DVMs and a passionate, welcoming support team who help one another to create a friendly, collaborative environment.  We have recently moved into a brand new facility, one block from our original location. We are all settled in and enjoying the perks of our new location. Please come by for a tour, meet our hospital cat Milo, and check out the neighbourhood! Our hospital is open 7 days a week, and we are in need of consistent Saturday coverage to supplement our existing Saturday team.  Once a month, Sunday coverage is also needed.  We are passionate about high-quality medicine and fear-free techniques for our patients. 1 Year of experience is considered an asset. About The Role:

Vancouver South Animal Hospital is looking for another full time RVT to join our growing team.  We have been in the South Vancouver Community for many years, well-established as a high-quality and fear-free practice. We are a hospital with 2 hard-working DVMs and a passionate support team. We are currently in the building stages of a brand new location 2 blocks up from our existing location. If you would like to be part of our skilled and unique team and be involved in the exciting process of our new location, please apply! Our ideal Registered Veterinary Tech (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

 We are a hospital open 7 days a week, and we are in need of consistent Sunday coverage to supplement our existing Sunday team. Expected Wage Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hr

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician or Technologist 
  • Successfully  completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
  • Passed the VTNE or are eligible to write the VTNE 
  • Be in good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association
